It took me 8 weeks to get my first period after my m/c. I became pregnant after that first period (so roughly two months after my m/c, but didn't even wait one cycle). My pregnancy was not risky. The only problem I had was sciatic back pain which was aggravated from lifting my toddler. :-Þ  That's it! I didn't have any other issues, pain, bleeding, etc. It was perfect.

When you think you're ready, start trying. Doctors just want you to wait for dating purposes and they want your body to rest a bit first. But the thing is, women have babies after m/c all the time.
