how much weight is lost?

After delivery, how much weight is normally lost? My guess is 30lbs? With baby weight, placenta, blood, and water?

Just curious...

My sister gained 55 with her twins and lost 40 pounds after having them! she was shocked. . She said wow that was fast lol. My mom lost 20 pounds after having me because she was retaining so much water. So it could happen but it does differ with everyone.

With baby, placenta, fluid, and uterine weight it's between 10-12 lbs that you will lose.

All depends on the woman, I've heard stories were someone had a 9lb baby and only lost 5lbs. All of our bodies are different. I hope I lose at least 10, I've lost 25lbs this pregnancy and have only gained 2 of it back 56 days to go lol hoping I dont gain anymore.

It's not 30 pounds at birth. If your baby weighs 8 pounds at birth, you'll probably go home about 16 pounds lighter. Also, expect to still look about 6 months pregnant.

Most people don't lose 30 pounds right from jump street. I gained about 25 with both of my previous pregnancies before this one and lost maybe 10-15 pounds after I had them at the hospital and they were both over 8 pound babies.

I read that on average it is up to 12kg. I think that's roughly 24lbs. But I certainly didn't lose that with my first. I put on 17kgs and I think I lost about 4kgs at delivery, roughly another 8kgs over the following weeks, and then it took me about 8mths to lose that last 5kgs (but I wasn't really trying, next to no exercise and usual diet).

My sister and my sister law both only gained like 20 lbs their while pregnancies so I'm thinking that it just depends in the person.
