is ppd free natural hair dye safe in pregnancy

I understand that using hair dye in pregnancy is
not safe. But what about natural hair dye that does not
contain PPD an ammonia? Is that safe. I found Vegetal
Bio colour! any body has experience of using this?

I asked my Dr. the same question and he recommended I try Love Your Color by Cosamo because its a gentler color and has no ammonia, peroxide or PPD. Here is a link to their site, hope this was helpful... cosamousa.com

I know most hair dyes DO contain PPD! These are commercial hairdyes that come in 2 bottles (Which is most) Because many people have reactions too it which hospitalises them which it why you should ALWAYS do a strand test 48 hours before dying your hair which is reccomended...
This is a list of symptoms

Duno if it will work.

I am unsure about Vegetal hair dye though... I shall check..

Thanks for all that advises, recently I am told that if hair colour is free from a chemical called PPD it can be considered as safe colour to be used all time. I looked for that and found vegetal bio colour as safe colour (www.vegetalindia.com) does any one has experience of useing this hair colour? should i go for that.

My OB said that it is completely safe to dye your hair while pregnant. They just said if possible to avoid heavy metals. But they still say dying your hair is not medically linked to m/c. They even said I could use the tanning bed still! Maybe they think its safe but I am definitely staying away from the tanner.

It's said if you want to colour your hair HAVE HIGHLIGHTS because with Highlights not as much gets on your scalp.
ask your doc first. My SIL dies her hair in total she is 24 weeks preg and has died her hair 18 times.... LOL.
I would check with your Doctor first. it is fine in the second Trimester, Just NOT peroxide (Bleech) and stuff... And Dont be around the smell too long. But they said Highlights are the best because less dye gets on your scalp and then into your milk and blood and stuff... But if you're breast feeding you cant dye your hair untill you're finished. I know that for a fact.

My doctor told me as long as you don't color your hair in the first trimester, you are fine.  I was really glad to hear that news because my roots are very long right now!

It's the fumes that have been considered unsafe.  Many hair dyes now do not put off the same harsh fumes as they did years ago.  Woman dye their hair all the time during pregnancy.  The key is to make sure you are in a well ventilated area and don't stay around the smell too long if it's strong.
