I'll let you know!! Thanks :)
Dude id rather have shots. Let me know if its really that bad girly! :( lol goodluck!
Mommyoftwins07, glad you're doing better! I hope she at least considers giving me shots if I can't take this stuff.
My sister had iron medicine she said it wos awful tastes like tar she took it once
I'm anemic with this pregnancy it dried pretty low and my doctor expected me to take 3 iron pills a day! And that was my only option he said, even though they made me vomit (military doctors I swear...) Now I'm at home aka parents for the remainder and see an obgyn off post and I'm doing iron infusions, much better
There's shots but my midwife won't give them to me, I think you have to be severely anemic and in the hospital in order to get them. Oh well, ill just have to suck it up for 13 more weeks lol.
I cannot take any pills either whatsoever! I'm 16w and I'm freaking out but I have a feeling I'm gonna have to take iron pills as well :( there's nothing else you can take besides the liquid? I'm sure its gross af.. ;/
Thank you combs7, it might be better with applesauce!
Yeah I was taking the flinstone complete vitamins, but the texture made me sick when I was in my first trimester. I might see if I can start chewing them again bc I'm 27+3 so it might not be so bad this time.
It does taste awful but you can mix it with applesauce. That's what I had to do for my daughter she had to take it when she was 2 or 3. If you take it straight brush your teeth afterward because it will stain your teeth if you don't.
I'm sure its disgusting...not to discourage you (sorry). I switched from over the counter prenatal gummies to prescription chewable vitamins (I can't take pills either) and they have iron and taste terrible. And I am supposed to chew them completely.... Yuck.
Maybe if you are taking liquid iron you can just tilt you're head back and use the dropper to put it on the back of your tounge so you don't have to taste it? IDK....
