If you had sex 5 days ago implantation most likely hasnt even occured yet IF you did concieve... plus if you are not getting a period there is no way of knowing if you are ovulating or had a chance of ovulating... The only way to know for sure where you are at with menopause is to go to you Dr and gets tests done to see, and if you are not trying to get pregnant then protection is a must at this point as well! im not sure what pill your talking about taking? but as of right now techincally if you did concieve there is no way of knowing as its far too early to test... usually about 14 days after ovulation a woman would get a postitive test result  but because you dont know for sure if you would have ovualted then id say test 14 days from today as sperm can live approx. 5 days... So pretty much there is no way that anyone can tell you if you did infact concieve... you will have to wait it out, but it doesnt hurt to see your Dr to find out if menopause has started....as at 42 you are still young and there may be other reasons you aer not getting your period... take care and good luck!
