missed pills

right basically i have a question.  I'm taking the combined pill which is now called ovranette and was called microgynon 30 before.  I had sickness and diarrhoea and was very ill over 1 night (so I missed 1 pill for sure).  The following night I missed another simply because I was ill and didn't remember.  In the afternoon of the following day I took the missed pill and carried on with the others as normal.  My boyfriend and I used condoms from the night of being ill onwards.  However, we did have unprotected sex the day before the sickness started and every day prior to that.  I've read on some websites that u should take emergency contraception if you've had sex the 7 days before becoming ill but I didn't.  My missed pills were in the last 7 days of my pack but I continued to take the next pack without a break.  Does this sound like I'm safe from getting pregnant or not?

sorry forgot to add im not sure when you need to test as i was 2 months before i found out but if you have a blood test at the docs they can tell you a lot sooner so may be best to get checked out anyway, i hope i didnt scare u with what i said as you are probably safe you did the right thing by carrying on taking it but i would defo go to the docs. good luck!

hi there, i was taking ovranette and then the sister pill microgynon too, and i am living proof that NO WAY ARE YOU COVERED! i forgot a couple of pills towards the end of my pack then doubled up when i remembered a couple of days later and then carried on taking them through the 7 day break, i had no period that month a bit of spotting, just thought it was poss a light period, the next month i missed another couple of pills when i ran out but i was on my 7 day break so didnt worry too much. well here i am 22 weeks and 4 days pregnant! you have to be sooooooooooooo carefull with this pill if you miss 1 pill you can take it UP TO 12 HOURS LATER if you miss 1 out completely and its over 12 hours then carry on taking them through your 7 day break USING A CONDOM untill you start your next pack and youve had your period. when you take it through your 7 day break it starts to make your cycle a bit confused and you may not come on when you should but wait untill you definatly are having your period untill you stop using the condoms. i hope this was helpfull to you as it was only after my little slip up that i properly read the instructions! oooooopppppps

Anyone else know when u can take a pregnancy test if u are on the pill?  I've just finished what would have been my withdrawal bleed but I didn't have it because I started the next pack of pills.  Is now ok or too early still?

It was my last week of active pills but i started the next pack of active pills straight away without the pill free days as that was what my leaflet in my pills said to do.

If I were to take a pregnancy test (just to be sure), when should I take that?  I would have had my withdrawal bleed this week, finishing today/tomorrow but obviously didn't as I was still taking active pills.

depending on type of pill you were taking you sound safe.  If you were on the 28 cycle pill the last weekof pills is normally just sugar and water tabs these tabs are used basically to help you keep in the routine of taking the pill.  wherever you read to take an emergency contraceptive before you get sick that was bogus how on earth is anyone to know when they will be sick.  You and your boyfriend did the right thing by using protection after you were sick.  Next time you miss two pills in a row, you need to take two pills for the next two days.  For example:  if you missed mondays and tuesdays pill, on wednesday you should take mondays and wednesdays pill, and on thursday you take tuesdays and thursdays, by friday you are back on track.  This may make you feel quesy the way you may have felt when you firt started the pill so take with food.
