mucus plug
This is my first pregnancy and I have no idea about most of the things to come, I was wondering, what is a mucus plug and when do you lose it?
Do you lose it randomly towards the end of your pregnancy or do you lose it before you go into labor?

It can be different colors but uf it is pink tinged or red from blood in it labor is probably pretty close u can lose it early on though and it means nothing as it replenishs itself. If u have a strong stomach u can see a bunch on google images
Its a jellylike that covers your cervix to protect from infection but ull lose it toward the end of pregnancy. Once u lose it labor can start anytime
