They do add weeks, because they calculate your due date from your last menstrual cycle. so instead of being pregnant 9 months it's really 10 months
Ok. I was just trying to figure out when me and my husband conceived. If I count back 23 weeks it looks like I got pregnant at the end of June. My last period was July 5th tho. Which means we actually conceived in July.
You are 23 weeks pregnant but your baby is only 21 weeks gestation. So your basically pregnant for 2 weeks before you actually "become" pregnant. LIke today Im 4 weeks, but my baby is only 2 weeks. Thats why they say 2 weeks before your due date or two weeks after. Good luck
So counting back 23 weeks does not mean Dats the day I conceived. But 2 wks after....it will be? somewhere in there.??
The week of your period and the week you ovulate are added to be considered the start of your pregnancy.
So the last period you had was the "start" of your pregnancy.
We end up actually pregnant after ovulation occurs, but they just fit in the cycle.
