I was diagnosed with PCOS a year ago after trying for 3 years to get pregnant. Ive always had issues with my weight, but I never knew it was the PCOS until I was having horrible pains on my right side. I also thought that having undergone two open heart surgeries that maybe that also was causing me not to get pregnant. Went to the doctor explained my situation that I could get pregnant & that it needed to happen sooner than later. Dr put me on Clomid first month didn't work & so did the next set second month & found out this past July that I was pregnant. Me & husband were so excited I couldn't contain myself when I was staring at those positive pregnancy tests I balled like a baby lol. I will be 16 weeks on October 6th. Thus far no problems no complications with baby or me just very extensive monitoring from OB and my heart dr. I feel so blessed to have been giving the chance to have a child of my own. I want to breastfeed but I've heard that with PCOS either you make too little milk make too much or make none at all, I'm so afraid I won't make any or make very little & it not satisfy baby once baby is here. I have to be careful with how much weight I put on, I've been trying to so hard & i think I've been doing pretty good with gaining the amount of weight your to gain each week. It's awesome to hear from others with the same issues as I do & hear everyone's success stories...
I was told i had pcos 2yrs ago i mc my first then my dr put me on metformin and femara which is like clomid 3 mos later i was preg again dr put me on progestroneand i had a healthy baby boy who is now 1 and i am currently 24wks preg and dr put me on progestrone @ the begining of this pregnacy too ! I gained 85 lbs while preg w first and lost it in 6 mos dr never said a word about my weight .. i only had trouble after i had my son i couldnt stop bleeding because my progestrone n estrogen levels were outta wack. So i had to keep switching back in forth between estrogen pills and progestrone pills i think thats how i got preg this time
They told me last year I had pcos so gave me metformin, clomid and pergestorone 3 months latet I fell pregnant. Had my son in April and a month later I caught again so now 19w+5 days xx
I don't think I had pcos when I had my other children one is almost seven the other is almost four when I had my last I couldn't lose the weight I gained with her like I did with my first and then started gaining alil more but didn't have a problem with my period to find out I had it til I had my iud taken out so we could try I still haven't had my first Dr app yet so don't know how they will watch me yet

I was diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome 5 months ago and just found out I was pregnantI am having some problems along the wayI am 6 weeks pregnant today and the doctorjust put me on to Progesterone pills they are monster monitoring
I'm holding on to hope was it difficult for you to get pregnant with your other children?
I had pcos for probably seven months diagnosed like four ago but before that I had an iud for three years but after about three months of metformin and 20 lbs less I conceived I feel like the only reason I lost was the medicine but now I worry I'm gonna gain it all back I try to eat alil less and for awhile I was to sick but I'm better now and craving sweets lol specifically the stick out of fun dips lol and I'm sorry Ur having such a hard time Ur in my prayers
I have pcos and unfortunately can't get pregnant I have been trying for 3 years how long did it take you to conceive? I'm starting to wonder if I will ever be able to have a child. I haven't gained any weight while being on the meds I've lost 17 since I started my medications
I gained 60 pounds! I don't know that the pcos had much to do with it though. I think it was the icecream I was eating by the pound. (Summer baby!) Sorry I can't help you out on that :)
That's awesome congrats are u all having a hard time with Ur weight is there anything u all do or have done to not gain more than necessary
I was diagnosed a year ago and put on metformin and progesterone. We were trying, so when that didn't work, the doctor put me on Clomid and after doubling my dose the second month, I was able to get pregnant! I am now 28+3 with a healthy baby boy! So happy to hear other pcos success stories.
Thanks and I figured if God blessed be to get pregnant again that it wouldn't be to have complications and congrats to u its always nice to hear success stories
That's amazing that you are blessed with another baby! It took me 3 years to get pregnant with my baby and I had an absolutely perfect pregnancy with zero complications. I don't see why things would go wrong in your pregnancy this far along because of PCOS. I will pray for you though!
And congrats on Ur all's success on getting pregnant and having Ur babies I have two girls but that was years ago so praying I have a successful pregnancy again
I've only known for about four five months I was on metformin lost 20 lbs in three months ended up pregnant very blessed to be since I was worried it might not happen not taking the medicine anymore I'm about to be 10 weeks Dr app is alil over a week away so still alil nervous about early misscarring I know it's higher I've also gained about five six lbs which I hate I'm just looking for some women who can relate and alil support from anyone that's been through or going through it
Dr told me that he thinks that is what I have/had so he sent me to a fertiity specialist. This is baby #2 on clomid for me.
I was a few years ago. Just had my baby in July. What's your experience with it?
