period after giving birth or pregnancy? !

I have a nine week old and we're currently using condoms for contraception as I'm breastfeeding. Tonight I have a darkish brown discharge / possible spotting. My period is yet to return. Five nights ago the condom broke. Is it too early for implantation bleeding or is this the return of my period? So not ready for another baby yet!

Thanks ladies, if it doesn't turn in to a period I'll take a test in one-two weeks.

After you give birth you are fertile. & possibly can get pregnant just to be safe I would take a test

Your body is still getting back on track and may have some left over stuff. I breastfed for 2 years and didn't get a period for a year and a half. I wouldn't worry too much about it, but to be safe take a test as soon as u can in a couple weeks
