im not sure if im understanding the question but, at anytime the process of the pregnancy can stop, in the early stages its usually chromosomal abnormalities... is that what you were asking?

Yes. You can lose a pregnancy at any stage, just the further along you are the less likely this is. An early miscarriage is called a chemical pregnancy.
