pregnant or not?!!

i had a very faint possitive pregnancy test so i had a beta hcg test taken today the result is level 5 , i have a 7 month old baby so i havnt had my period yet i have however had a lot of unprotected sex with my fiance so we thought i was pregnant, my doctor said test is negative & isnt doing a follow up test what should i do am i pregnant or not?

oh i forgot to say i was breastfeeding her exclusively until about 2 months ago so we was using that as birth control but then decided we would like to have another baby i think 2 is enough though!

it was a test of the internet that measures as little as 10 ml hcg , we are trying for another baby , i will take another test tommorow and see what happens, thanks for all the advice

I don't see how a second pregnancy test could hurt anything.
You MOST likely had a chemical pregnancy, because a home test cannot usually detect HCG at levels below 50 which SHOULD indicate that your level dropped by the time you went to the doctor's office.
However, a follow up test would be helpful to confirm this OR to confirm a new pregnancy.
One thing I DO know,  if you are not ready for another baby yet, you'd better get some birth control. Alternatively, if you are in the market for a big family, I think you will get your wish!

thanks for that il try again on wednesday as if it is normal it should be hcg level of 20 shoudnt it

I would take another test in 3-5 days.  You may be very early on.  HCG levels begin to show up at ovulation and increase once conception is complete to a normal pregnancy level.

Yes I agree. Wait a week or so and go back to the doctor or take another home test. Doctors make mistakes
