pregnant???

My periods are late 4 days. I did 2 hpt both negative. I do have symptoms such as tender boobs, nausea, metalic taste in my mouth, weight gain esp @ lower abdomin. I and my boy friend are trying for a baby.My periods are irregular. The last few months my periods were: March 10. 2011. April 10. 2011. May 08 2011. Usually I have regular periods for a couple of months and then i have irregular for few months. I am very confuse @ this moment. Usually i have tender boobs before periods is due. But at this time I have after missed periods. If somebody can explain or help me. I have appt with OB in a week. Please tell me what tests should i do. Thank You

Hi!
PMS symptoms are almost impossible to distinguish from early pregnancy symptoms.  If your home tests were negative, you probably are either not pregnant, OR are very early.
I usually tell my patients to test weekly until either the test is positive or the period arrives.

When you meet with your doctor, be certain to mention that your periods are irregular, and
he/she may be able to prescribe some medications to help you ovulate more regularly and speed up the time to conception.

You might just be late in you period, or you could be pregnet you have to take a pregnacy test if its negative a bloodtest. good luck
