Ladies, I seem to be getting a cold & my throat is absolutely killing me I feel like someone just scratched it or something. I really dont wanna take meds . What else can I do to help with throat pain ? Im 27 weeks pregnant.

I went & its just a cold. My doc said tylenol. My throat doesnt hurt as bad as it did a couple hours ago . Still scratchy but nothing like earlier. Thank you for your help (ladies) & thank you :)

In knew cuz I could breath real well... I had phenomonia once about 6 years ago and I thought it was turning into that again... It wasn't terrible. Just don't be afraid to take some of the meds they give you... They won't prescribe you anything that will hurt the baby... I cried coming home from the er cuz I felt like a terrible mom but once I got better I realized my baby needed a healthy mom...

It also helps that I have a heart beat Doppler so I could.monitor my baby and give me piece of mind...

And seriously the best thing was those sonic slushs they stay could for ages and sooth the throat. I only used halls at night... saliva also soothes the throat so sucking on them kept the saliva flowing through the night.

Oh dang , yeah I think im gonna have to my throat is red but I dont see any white spots . It really does hurt though even to swallow my own saliva! :(

Dragjess omg I'm scared that's going to happen to me the hospital told me I could be getting bronchitis but that its minor strep now. How did you know?

I would get that checked cause I'm going through the same thing an I ended up having strep throat. If you notice any redness or swelling or white spots in your throat you need to go to the er.

Ive been having halls & it goes away for a couple of min & thats it :/

I had the same issue and unfortunately in had to take meds... I took what they gave me in the er (cuz I didn't want to take anything I ended up in the er with bronchitis) ... I only took it till the second my throat felt better....

However I did suck on halls at night which helped and so did sonic slush drink cu they stay cold forever !!!! I also used a heating pad for a few minutes here and there on my neck :)
