something doesn't add up.

I had taken a pregnacy test, but it was negitive. I missed my period, and I did have unprotected sex. I don't understand.

Spotting could be a sign of implantation or your period about to start. I would test again in the morning. Also, I see you are 16, have you thought about everything that goes along with having a baby?

Yes, some women get spotting such as that.... But that could also be your period getting ready to start. I had brown discharge this cycle that went completely away and I thought hmm.. Could I be pregnant? It turned very light pink..then brown when it returned... Yesterday my period came full force. 2 days late but there it was.... Hopefully you know something soon..

Stress, illness, medication, environmental factors etc can cause you to miss your period.  Sometimes women miss their periods for what seems to be no reason at all.  Wait another week and take another test, if it's still negative then chances are you just missed your period.

It's rare but it is possible to be pregnant and not have it show up on urine tests, but show positive with a blood test.  The onyl times I've ever heard of this tho were when there was a kidney issue that prevented the HCG from getting into the urine.

Did you take the test at least 14 days after unprotected sex?  If you took it earlier than that, then pregnancy may have been detectable at that point.

Wait a week and retest.  Th chances of conceiving in a given month are only 25% so unprotected sex doesn't mean pregnancy.  Add to that, there are many reasons why a women could miss, or be late on, a period.

you are most fertile about 14 days before your next period starts, although every woman ovulates at different times each month, even having regular periods. if you are not planning on getting pregnant it may be the time to start birth control. good luck

When did u take the test? Sometimes the hormones tAke longer to show in ppl, but on the other hand there is only a small chance to get pregnant each month n it could be that you ovulated late or not at all n thats why you period hast shown yet :)
