It may be none of my business, but are you sure you want to add a baby to an already tense situation? It is unlikely that baby will help to reduce tension!
Stress can certainly effect frequency of intercourse, and significant stress probably does reduce fertility somewhat. Is there any chance of getting counseling with or without your husband? You might also want to consider some stress reduction techniques like yoga or accupuncture too--accupuncture is good for fertility.
I also always recommend 400 mg of folic acid daily to anyone who is "trying"
