Yeah I've hearda botu the beer thing and apparently it DOES work really well but I can't stomach the taste of beer at ALL
I have personally never taken the shot but I know alot of women who have and no one had anything good to say... sorry not trying to scare you.
as far as milk supply I am sure some people will be annoyed with me saying this but my siL had issues with it (she is nursing twins) and my mil said drink a beer something it it really helps. She was shocked! 1 beer and she was flowing like a river.
I prefer the iron pills becuase I'm not a red meat eater. They tried to get me to eat the hospital meat which just wasn't gonna happen. I've taken iron many times and seem to do ok with it so I"m sticking with it.
Lily is doing great. She is just such a sweet baby. Yesterday she started having those "everything comes back projectile" spit ups. So I'm trying to keep her as still as possible for awhile during and after her feedings to see if that helps.
Gabe has become h-ell on wheels. He gets into EVERYTHING and whines ALL day long. But at the same time everytime Lily makes a noise he runs over with his arms out like he wants to pick her up or hug her. He'll also sit there and point out all her body parts to me...eye, ear, nose, mouth, hand, feet, hair LOL
He tried to pull her head away from my breast the other day because I was feeding her and he wanted me to get up. He's tried to pull the shields off while I'm pumping too LOL
He likes to help me hold her bottles or pat her back when I'm burping her too.
well if there's a weird side effect to a medicine, 9 times out of 10 I end up with it....HOWEVER...the only problem I had with the depo shot was weight gain. and we're talking like 25lbs :(. But you're breastfeeding so that should help.
but if it hadn't been for the weight gain I would've loved it. no periods, no cramping, no mood swings, slightly milder headaches, no nausea...it was A-OK until I started packing on the pounds.
I hope it works out for you! Sorry your anemia increased....they kept me for 5 days after Kahlan was born to try to get my iron up from 4 (dangerously low) and after 2 blood transfusions they finally managed to get it to 9......they told me to eat leafy greens and red meat and I did it religiously because I hate iron pills and by 4wks post-partum my iron was 11 and I was feeling much better....but those first few weeks of recovery were AWFUL from the low iron so I feel your pain. I hope you get yours sorted soon girl *hugs*.
How's my little Lilly-niece?? and how's my Mister Gabe adjusting to not being the baby anymore?? hasn't sunk it yet, I bet. lol

Eww!!! Well I really hope that doesn't happen, if it does you can bet I won't be getting the 2nd shot!!!!
For me is was good for the 1st month I didn't have my period at all! It was heaven but then I had it EVERYDAY for the next 3 months! After 2 months I was due for the shot again but we decided to Ttc and I cld keep having a period so I didn't take it but my period continue for another month. And just last month got a period again. I was also horrible moody and depressed.
My sister had similar results. She was on her period for 6 months.
I've heard stories good and bad and I figured that since I typically don't have bad reactions to medications like other people do that it was atleast worth a shot. If I don't like it I don't have to get it again. If I end up with unwanted side effects I'll just go back to the pill when my next shot is due.
What kind of things happened when you were on it?
Oh honey! I was on the Depo and I was the worse thing I ever could have done to my body! I hope it works for u and have only heard (seen) bad things bc of it!
I hope everything goes well for u tho! :)
Good to know it wasn't more serious. Also good to know you're still a little anemic, because now you know what was causing your issues and how to fix it. If it wasn't anemia who knows what it could have been.
Hopefully your milk supply goes up and the bronchitis goes away soon!
