what does this mean

I'm 5 weeks pregnant and have been bleeding for over a week with no cramps or pain but it's really light but I'm scared and the doctor won't see me till I'm eight weeks so does this mean I'm having a miscarriage or what

It could have been a very early miscarriage. Hopefully that's not the case though.

You really should see your ob because he/she can give you medicine to help. In my case I needed extra progesterone and folic acid. I miscarried twice due to my low levels. The emergency room is helpful but honestly your ob is a way better source for your answers.. sending good thoughts your way.

I hate to bring bad news but in my experciance with my first pregnancy i started really light bleeding at week 5, and missed carried at the end of week 6, sometimes your body knows your bebe is unhealthy and rejects baby that early fortunatly i got pregnant 4 weeks after and and i am 18 weeks! Go to a walk in clinc and explain what is happening. They cannot turn you away!!! Keep us updated!! Xo

Hopefully it's OK since you're only lightly bleeding. Have u told your doctor that u are bleeding? They should work you in if you are. If you're concerned, go to the ER. They are obligated to do blood work up & vaginal ultrasound to make sure you're OK or to determine if u are having a miscarriage. I had the same problem as you at 7 weeks. It started out light & spotty, but by the 3rd day, it got heavy like a period so I went to ER. They did all the work up & I sadly had a miscarriage. Hopefully since urs is light though, u should b ok. My recommendation is if ur bleeding this early, don't have Intercourse for the first 12 weeks of ur pregnancy. That's what my doctor told me. Good luck with everything. I hope ur ok.
