Hey Kristy
I already wrote u once, but i have some more information for you. This book I'm reading(which is amazing) said to stay away from
-hot dogs
-deli meat
-lunch meats
-raw milk
-unpasteurized cheeses or juices
-or raw leafy vegetables or spouts
All due to exposure of listeria Bacteria
Also be careful on your caffeine intake, No more then 150 mg
-shark
-swordfish
-king mackerel
-tile fish
All have mercury in them, and can be harmful to a fetus's growing brain
-And limit your intake on tuna and farmed salmon to 12 ounces or less a week
And other things mentioned(not food related) are:
-Alcohol
-Tobacco, smoking 6 or more cigarettes a day is just as harmful as doing crack cocaine
-baths, hot tubs sauna's or electric blankets that are hotter then 102 degrees
- no changing cat liter, or being in soil
thanks for the comments ladies its all gratefully recieved!! this is all new and i just want to make sure i give this tyke the best chance so thanks again !! x
Congrats on your pregnancy!
1. No sushi.
2. No Albacore Tuna...if any make it the Chunk Light.
3. No alcohol and tobacco, of course
4. Caffeine is debatable. Some say no, but my OB said 300mg or less per day. Talk to yours about what they recommend.
5. Certain herbal teas are a no-no, though I am not sure which ones so you need to check if you are a tea drinker.
That's all I can think of off the top of my head, but I am sure there is more that I can't remember right now. :) The best bet is to talk to your doctor. They will give you a list of dos and don'ts.
As for the morning sickness, some women have it and a few lucky ones don't. You are still a little early and most symptoms don't begin until around 6 weeks.
Take care and and congrats again!
Hi Congrats!!!
Sorry about your m/c. I'm not much help considering this is my first pregnancy, and I eat everything.lol.. But about the morning sickness, Yea its okay, everyone gets sick at different stages or sometimes not even at all. I didn't start getting sick until I was about 2 and half months, and then I was sick For 2 months straight, day and night. It was horrible. But my book that I have, says that the sicker you are the more likely that you wont have a m/c, so it may sound bad, but I hope u start getting sick soon:) (Don't take that the wrong way) lol
