woken up by intense pain
I'm 31 weeks and I woke up to really bad pain on my mid-abdominal...it was so bad I couldn't help but yell out....is this pain contractions...it lasted for about 8 seconds then stopped for like 5 seconds then came back for like 7 seconds
If you keep getting it though ask your doctor about it, but no those aren't contractions.
No those aren't contractions. Contractions feel like a tightening, crampy kind of pain in your stomach and I get them in my back too. It was probably just gas. I'm 34 weeks btw
Sounds like gas pain to me. Whenever I get gas pains while pregnant it's up higher (near my belly button) and feels like a sharp stabbing pain. Warm baths and kneeling on all fours can help alleviate some of the pain. Contractions don't come on so suddenly or painfully. They're more of a dull ache like period cramps.
