women gives birth in her yard!

so i was listening to the radio this morning, and it seems every day i hear things all day long that are pregnancy related, ya know movies, news, pregnant ladies everywherelol! anyways..
this women was in her car and her water broke, she had no one but her 2 year old son with her, she started having contractions 3 minutes apart like immedietly, and the closest place was her house, so she drives back home and calles her husband.
at this time the contractions are less than a minute and not having time to get into her house she does the next best thing....... she lays down in her lawn!
the paramedics got there=(hubby had called 911) and were astonished to find a perfectly calm women smiling and holding her newborn who was still attached by the umbilical cord!
the said she was one of the calmest women theve ever met after giving labor, and thatsa under normal circumstances!
hubby got there in time to cut the cord and they whisked her off to the hospital.. the baby was put in nicu because she was 6 weeks early and they wanted to be sure shed be ok... but she didnt even need the nicu!
now i dont know about you.... but if i had been that women i would have freaked out! no way am i gonna lay down in my yard with my two year old watching and calmly deliver! id be at the neighbors or screaming at road workers or whatever! man this women makes sissies like me look bad! but its good for her... crazy huh? this happened in missouri btw if you wanna look into it further... cant remeber the name of the town...

I like that, I hate hospitals and medical intervention, If I was a little braver, I'd give birth at home.

i just read this story in the paper on sat. and i wondered the same thing... how come no one noticed?? if i was her neighbor, im posative i woulda noticed!! lol

makes you wonder how NO ONE noticed lol.....heck with what she was thinking/feeling....imagine the 2 year old! aaahhh!!!

but wow, that's actually really awesome! no pain meds, apparently it took less than an hour from start of contractions to birth lol.....i want THAT experience hehehehe.....

lol sweet, thank god it wasn't raining!  and only in california lol.....

but yeah, it def gives you hope you can be that brave lol.....

and i hear you, since being pregnant, all i hear is about babies and pregnancy....chris tells me i have "fullfilled my diligent search" lol, cos i'm always on here or on youtube watchin birth videos lol....and the "baby kicking" videos tisa mentioned, are crazy! some of them look like rosemary's baby, but omg it's still soooo fascinating lol

Crazy!  Gives hope to all the people like me who are scared of the pain!  If a woman can do it in her yard then the sky is the limit lol!
