Preemy Parents....

How many weeks were you and were there any complications?

I'm 35 weeks, meds haven't helped stop contractions and so I'm home on bed rest until something happens, water breaks bloody show etc. Just looking for positive stories as I am well aware of the risk of early babies.

I should add baby is as active as ever which is a huge comfort to know he's doing very well even if mom isn't.

Ladies I can't tell you how much this helps. I've been calm, lectured for being too calm and it seems like I just randomly burst into tears now. I know he's going to be ok it's just that up until the moment when things start to go wrong they were just as normal as any other pregnancy, my first born was late and I'm completely healthy with no explanation other than my body is done.

Lots of women don't go full term. My first was born at 35 - 36 weeks. He was 5 lbs 5 Oz and he was in nicu for about a week due to jaundice but he is now almost 11 and has been a healthy baby, kid. Very smart too!

My water broke at 35 weeks 5 days with my now 9 month old. He was born at exactly 36 weeks on the dot. He was as healthy as could be and did not have to go to the nicu.

I pray you can atleast hang on another week. But if not you should be far enough along that your baby will be ok. Good luck.

I had my son at 36 wks. He was 7lbs 4oz 19 1/2 long. He is considered preemie. I held him n nursed him the first 2 hours then they took him to nicu n brought him to me to nurse every 2 hours. He was released at 24hrs old. Now a healthy 10 yr old. Currently 32 wks tomorrow, Dr figures she'll be here by valentines day ( she'll be just over 34wks) I am on bed rest too. Hang in there. One day at time.
