The female equivalent of the prostate are the paraurethral glands. There are cysts and there are case reports of adenocarcinoma (this is a type of cancer). These are vestigial organs, and there is no clear dependence on hormonal changes and hence, they are less likely to become malignant.  In contrast, the male breast is vestigial – but they are responsive to hormonal changes, and hence, there are more than isolated case reports of male breast cancer. Whether or not the characteristics of paraurethral adenocarcinoma would follow similar patterns as prostate cancer in general is not known.
