Frequent urination

My Uro Dynamic Test Doctor wrote a letter to my Urologist detailing my condition as very obstructed and that medicine would not help. I tried flomax and of course it didn't help. My last visit to the Urolgist he stated that I had 2 options, to live with the codition or to have a scraping which I deduced to mean a Turp. I believe this operation has to many side effects an might help my condition signifcantly to warrant the risk.
Are there any break through lasser procedures that could help my condition?

Hi,

Discuss the laser option with your doctor. Options are always important. A choice however may not be really yours to make, there may be limitations as to prostate size that a laser would be able to handle. Put another way, anatomical circumstances may not make you a candidate for either procedure. Another real world consideration, would be the expertise of the urologist, you may need to have it done somewhere else, there may be some waiting involved, and hence the logistics needed may make you change your mind.

A fairly new laser procedure called Greenlight laser is being used by some urologists; I have had no personal experience with it. More info at: http://www.greenlighthps.com/consumers/

They will be able to tell you which urologists are use it in their practice.

Good luck!
