I have been diagnosed as having prostate cancer in the right base, with a Gleason of 3+3.  I talked to my urologist and oncologist and have decided that the beam radiation therapy for 8 wks would be taxing on me in just the going to the clinic Mon thru Fri every day for 40 days, say nothing of the side effects (I've read them on mayoclinic.com).  I really wanted the 'seeds' for convenience, but they say they might not get all the cancer since i have a large prostate; so i've opted for radiation (5 wks when done with seeds) followed by seeds.

I read that some think radiation can actually cause cancer later... this bothers me.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Jason
