PSA levels for 60 yr old

Hi,

I am posting this for my father.
He is 60yrs old. He has a total PSA of 11.11ng/ml. As the normal value is 4.0mg/ml.
We did a biopsy and we were happy to know its not cancer.

Other than its not a cancer, we did not get any more information from doctor.

What else could be the reason? How frequently should we check of PSA levels? How can we bring down the PSA levels?
