Severe Back Pain

by LennyD, Jul 01, 2009 06:08PM
My dad had prostate surgery 6 days ago, he seemed to be progressing well.  Since then he has developed blood clots in his legs which are being treated with blood thinners and we see no issues going into the future with this.  The problem is that he is having very severe back pain when he is sitting (riding in a car) and he did not have this prior to his surgery.  Has anyone else experienced this and are there any suggestions?  Thanks.

Fairly common I hear....Was the procedure robotic? If so your dad was upside down and twisted big time for 4 hours or so during the procedure. He should get a mri/exray to check for damage and then some physical therapy if needed. good luck!
