Thank you for your question. This is a fairly controversial topic. Some equate the taking of expired medications to that of eating rotten expired foods. Other studies have found that some drugs are fairly durable and experience limited degradation of their potency long after their expiration dates have passed.
I believe the expiration date of
Viagra is 2 years after the date of manufacture. The short of it, no one is really sure what the effects of taking expired medication will be. Therefore, I would strongly recommend against it.
As an alternative, several manufacturers offer vouchers for medications at reduced costs.
