hi.i have sensations in my prostate for 6 months. It is not like pain but like a touching sensation and very disturbing. All kinds of tests including biopsy is done but nothing came out.i would ask
1-can it be prostate cancer even tests were negative?
2-if it is neuropathic how can neuropathic sensations treated?
3-if it is not neuropathic nor cancer what causes this sensation?
thanks
1. The chances of a cancer with a negative biopsy are almost nil.
2. It could be neuropathic, though an unlikely possibility. Neuropathic pain can be managed with medications or nerve destruction.
3. Likely possibilities include referred pain from other regions, infections, inflammations, chronic irritation etc.
It would be best to get this evaluated by a urologist or an internist for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management.
Hope this is helpful.
Take care!
