radiation following prostatectomy/penile implant

by crln47, Oct 24, 2009 10:04AM
My husband had a prostatectomy in March of 2007.  Recently his psa started to rise slightly.  He had a lupron shot, stopped that and it started to rise again slightly.  His urologist suggested that he have radiation therapy to the prostate bed.  He has a penile implant.  We are wondering how radiation would affect it, if at all.  His urologist said that it should not.  We are just wanting a little more info on the matter.
