rising psa post prostatectomy post radiation

by Ike192, Sep 23, 2009 10:35AM
I am 55. Had radical prostatectomy 10/07. Had psa of 3.4 and gleason 7 going into surgery. Final gleason 4+4. Rising psa started in 8/08 to .05 and then 1/09 to 1.0. Started radiation in 5/09 and went thru 40+ sessions. Initial psa 3 mos. after is 1.4.  Had bone scan, prostacint test before radiation. Bone scan was negative. Prostacint showed some activity in prostate bed which was treated as well as lymph nodes in radiation.  I think I should wait another 6 weeks and re-test psa? If not significant change could it be that I am just dealing with a false positive?
