Prostadynia, tendonitis or ...?

by er15, Nov 16, 2008 11:10AM
Hello, I've had pain in the crotch area for 4 years and have recently been diagnosed with possible Prostadynia or tendonitis and I am currently taking Naprosyn for 3 weeks. The rectal exam was a little rough and has heightened sensitivity. The medication has had not effect so far. Before meeting again with the urologist I would like to get advice here.

Testicular exam (Ultrasound): OK
Urine exam: OK
Rectal exam: OK, except for detection of a prostate pain.

Pain type: semi permanent bruising like feeling, occasionally sensations of cold, "overheating" near pain area upon ejaculation.

Pain cycle: Hours following ejaculation, stretching into next few days. Sitting down while driving. Absence of ejaculation for a few days, in the past, has resulted in pain fading away. Over the years things have worsened, hence my going to the Dr, finally.

Pain location: hot spot is between the anus and testicles. With my finger I can pinpoint a spot on what I take is a
canal where there is a slight protuberance and the pain is very much around there (doctors missed that), but the pain also diffuses throughout the entire crotch area.

Other symptoms: foul smell after ejaculation, possible presence of urine (doctors missed that). Didn't have that before (4 years).

Antecedent: 4 years ago, I engaged in sexual activity multiple times in a row (no one is perfect) and something snapped in my crotch area, causing stinging pain. I think I might have strained the pipe system...

Other related ailments: Not really. Urination is a little stop and go, leaky. Ejaculation not very powerful (according to my girlfriend).
