Can spleen tissue grow back?

I had to have a splenectomy due to a torn vein and severe bleeding in 2004. Recently I had an abdominal ultrasound (symptom hematuria) and the report states "the spleen looks normal". This may sound crazy but is it possible for this organ to grow back?
