T1 and T2 are sequences on MRI, T1 stands for Spin lattice relaxn time and T2 stands for spin spin relaxation time, fat suppressed means signal of fat is supressed, so that pathology is well dilineated and signal from fat is suprressed. Fat is usually bright on both T1 and T2 sequences.  All these are sequences used to do tissue characterization. Particularly useful in musculoskeleton cases like in your case.
