I slipped going down my stairs and i hurt my elbow very bad... I went to the E,R they took an xray and said there was a fracture. The nurese came back in and said we have to take a ct scan to get a better view.. Ct scan results show know fracture.. They gave me sling to wear for a fews day. I cant extend my arm out all the way its sill very painful.. Showed I seek a second opionion or what are my options..
A CT scan is better than a plain x ray at looking for damage to the bones. However, it cannot assess other tissues particularly well and these can obviously be involved with an injury. As your symptoms are persisting then I would recommend you seek further clinical assessment to determine whether further investigations may be useful.
