Risks of frequent sinus CT scans?

I've had two sinus surgeries since December 2011 which have required a total of 4 sinus CT scans (without contrast) so far.  I'm still having problems, and will probably need a fifth CT scan within the next few weeks.  Should I be concerned about the number of these scans?  Are there any alternative diagnostics that could be done in place of CT scans?  Also, I've recently read that Ambien increases the risk of cancer by up to 30%.  I've been taking Ambien almost daily for 2.5 years due to chronic pain issues.  Do you think this increases any risks associated with the CT scans?

Thank you.

I am not familiar w/ Ambien and cancer risk, and this should be discussed w/ your doctor. Re: sinus CT and cancer, CT scans use radiation, and radiation is known to increase cancer risk, but as with all things one must way the risk/benefit ratio. If you are concered about this, discuss with the doctor ordering the scans.
