I had infected knee implant removed and still sick!
I started to feel sick in September 2011 about two months after having a left knee removed an an implant put in. I had to stop working because I became too weak to work in a school even with a wheel chair and then an electric scooter. After an infection was found under a tooth with a crown, the orthopedic surgeon referred me to a specialist that deals with infected implants and cancer. He suspected and confirmed at removal of the knee implant that it was badly infected. I had the infected left knee implant removed March 1, 2012.I have been in a wheel chair ever since. My sed rate and C-Reactive Protein tests continue to show lots of inflammation in my body. Other blood work shows that my body continues to fight an infection(s) but no the infectious disease specialist has not been able to determine what kind of infection. I continue to get weaker and all my joints and muscles hurt. I have trouble regulating my temperature, have frequent fevers and chills at times so bad I almost thought I was having a seizure.  I have tried treatment from a naturopathic doctor, a chiropractor and a homeopathic doctor. I continue to get worse. What is going on with me? What specialist(s) should I go to? Please help!  I am literally and figuratively tired of being so sick for over a year!!!
