Can anyone tell my what you think can be wrong?

Pretty much pain comes and goes just above my hip on the right side. Sometimes its scary because it just blasts me out of nowhere and it hurts to much to stand. Anyone know what could be wrong?

Hi,
Can you clarify the exact location, If it is below the ribs and in your right upper abdomen, this could also be caused by gallstones or inflammation of the gallbladder, duodenal ulcers, pulled muscle, constipation and even kidney stones. Gallstones usually present with pain or biliary colic after eating a fatty meal. Try to eat less fatty foods and drink plenty of fluids. If it persists, have this evaluated further for proper management. Take care always.

No I have never had a problem it feels like just below my ribs to the right kinda towards the front. But it only acts up like once in a while like I'll be good for like 5 days or so and then it goes back for a day and a half and disapears for a while. Its really odd.

Hi,
How are you? Was there a previous trauma to this site? The pain could be due to musculoskeletal causes, inflammation, or referred pain from other locations. Rest, warm compress and over-the counter pain medications may help provide relief. To determine the diagnosis, it is best that you have this checked by your doctor for proper evaluation. Your medical history and complete physical examination will help. Take care and do keep us posted.
