Hi,
How are you? The earliest symptoms of Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) may include twitching, cramping, or stiffness of muscles; muscle weakness affecting an arm or a leg; slurred and nasal speech; or difficulty chewing or swallowing. The parts of the body affected by early symptoms depend on which muscles in the body are damaged first and then spread to other parts of the body as the disease progresses. Diagnosis is primarily based on the symptoms and signs, medical history, neurologic examination and and diagnostic tests such as electromyography (EMG) or nerve conduction velocity (NCV). It is best that you have this checked by your doctor or be referred to a neurologist for proper diagnosis and to rule out other  diseases or disorders that can resemble ALS in the early stages of the disease. Take care and do keep us posted.
