I am a 34 year old female. Recently I noticed I was having difficulty swallowing anything, even water. My doctor ordered an esophogram, which showed I have an enlarged neck muscle in the C4 area of my throat. The doctor said nothing really can be done about it. It's causing me discomfort so he refered me to an ear, nose an throat doctor. I am wondering what the cause of this could be? I feel like I constantly need to clear me throat and it takes effort to swallow anything, including liquids. I also have acid reflux.
