Im 24 yr old female, and Im in shape and work out an hour each day. I have severe fatigue, and I eat huge meals and snack constantly for energy but even with all the vitamins and food and sleep and exercise. Nothing helps.
9 months ago I began having sharp stabbing pain throughout body along with tingling, burning, wet sensations. Vitamin B has helped some. 3 months ago began having pain in joints/ bones. Mostly wrists and ankles. I am very prone to infections and have been sick more in the past 2 yrs than ever in my life. Constanct ear, throat, and other bacterial infections. Extreme motion sickness. Trouble swallowing, and recently dry coughing spells. Feet swell and get red with exercise. Changes in heart rate. (ex. heart will race while at complete rest for no reason). Shortness of breath.(wake up feeling like im gasping for air, like i was holding breath underwater)
I was diagnosed with epilepsy, but confirmed by other Neuro Dr after vidoe eeg that the diagnosis was wrong. Took cymbalta for fybromyalgia and didnt help. Only medicine I take now is Topamax for migraines and an inhaler for asthma. Had Mri Brain with MS protocol and it was clear and negative for MS.
I'm going to go see the Dr this week because now Im worried about the episodes moving to my left arm.
Can anyone please lend me some advice. Is there anything I can ask my Dr on my next visit? Any certian specialists I might be referred to? Any other tests that could be done? I've already been seen by 3 Neurologists who've told me my tests are clear and there's no medicine they can give me or anything they can do for me. I did wonder about Myasthenia gravis which Ive only recently learned about, but I don't know if it happens in episodes? I have an assymetrical blink now. But my left eyelid truly droops when Im tired, having an episode before/after, and with migraine.
I truly appreciate any help or advice. Thank you :)
