Excessive sweating when nervous

I sweat REALLY bad when I am nervous.  Not my head or hands or anything, just my underarms.  This happens a lot when test taking,  or just thinking it will happen.  I think I psych myself into it sometimes.   once it is all over I dry right back up.   How can I try to prevent this?

Have you seen an endocrinologist for your excessive sweating ? An endocrinologist is a doc that specializes in the great myriad of hormones, the organs that secrete hormones and their complicated feed back mechanism for regulating so many bodily functions, including sweating which is an external manifestation of a possible hormonal imbalance.
General practitioners are jacks of all trades, masters of none. Go see a specialist to rule out a hormonal imbalance.

Hi,
Indeed stress and anxiety make the sweat glands more active. If this persists despite using  antiperspirants, you may need to have this checked for proper evaluation. Biofeedback may also help. Take care and regards.

Hey

I used to have the same problem myself. Easiest solution I found is to use your antiperspirant twice a day. Got the info off here http://hubpages.com/hub/sweatyarmpits

say goodbye to perspiration!!!

Hi,

Sweating is a function of the autonomous nervous system. In times of stress or anxiety, most people sweat. Use sweat pads, deodorants and antiperspirants. Relieve stress by meditation.
