HIGH PRESSURE INJECTION INFECTION

by SunGoddess0510, Sep 03, 2009 11:20AM
After recieving a high pressure injection from a hose on a garbage truck, my boyfriend's brother's arm started blowing up. It was a small puncture hole, as if a toothpick went through his skin. Now, the cut is 2 x 6". The first surgery relieved as the doctor said, "Loads and loads of puss". He was in the hospital, had another surgery, had bacteria cultures done with nothing showing, had a picline for at home antibiotics, and 2 clear MRI's. He went back in, with a fever of 104, and it was discovered that he had a yeast infection in his blood. His last MRI showed an abscess, and they did surgery again and there was again, loads of green puss that smelled exactly like gasoline. The doctor is baffled. He has no idea what could be wrong. The wound was in essence healed, and then the arm blew up again. He doesn't know how such a huge infection can have formed in the short time between MRI 2 and 3, the one with the abscess. PLEASE, does anyone know what this mysterious problem could be?
