Heavy Breathing

Hi! i'm gaurav sharma, i'm having heavy breathing since last 4-5 days specially in the morning.Actually it started after when i came back from mountain expedition (17,200 ft). Before going to expedition i had viral fever and i did not taken full medicine dose.I'm having some cough also. But i do not have any kind of trouble when i go for my martial arts training in the evening. This problem occurs only when i sit idle.
Please help in finding the cause of the problem .
Thanks

Hi gaurav,

Altitude related illnesses are common and should be recognized promptly to avoid unnecessary morbidity and mortality. Tissue hypoxia due to reduced oxygen may cause acute mountain sickness  which  is a common and preventable condition with sensible altitude gain. If it occurs, AMS is usually mild and self-limiting if it is recognized and managed properly. Severe and potentially fatal manifestations such as pulmonary edema and cerebral edema must be diagnosed and managed without delay. I suggest that you have your lungs evaluated by your doctor and to get your oxygen saturation levels.

Take care and keep us posted.
