Hondurian girl in need of medical help

what can be done for a 15 year old honduran girl that has an ear condition that has eaten most of her internal ear. Doctors have not been able to diagnose the problem.  She gone through several operations., She has lost most if not all of her internal ear.  She has pus secreting from her ear. Gets frequent headaches and always has a fever.

Hi Robert, it could be a necrotizing soft tissue infection otherwise known as flesh eating.  She needs an infectious disease doctor.  The poor girl! That sounds painful and awful.  Any chance of her getting to a different part of the country?

What tests, medications and surgical operations were done in the past? The presence of pus and fever highly suggest an infection and I agree with Tina that she should be referred to an infectious disease specialist apart from the ear specialist. Cultures of the discharge may also help determine the responsible organisms. Take care and do keep us posted.
