Insomnia, Pain, Anxiety, Depression, Fatigue, what should I do?

I am not overweight, I am 5'9" 155 lbs, with a large frame, 22 years old, moderately active, healthy eating(vegetarian) and female. I don't know if this helps but I'm 37-29-40, so I have a decent body frame. I've been to doctors and sleep specialists, none of it works. Sleeping pills have little to no effect on me, neither do any of their anxiety, depression drugs. I have always had a high tolerance for most medicines, so I just end up not taking them in the end. ( I'm also very much against most drugs, especially illicit drugs) I wake up over and over again throughout the night my arms and legs feeling like they want to jump off my body, nightmare after nightmare, hallucinations, not being able to move or breathe. During the day I am so tired I just want to go back to bed, or not get off the couch. I have random pain pop up everywhere, headaches, pain under my armpits in the lymph node area, pain in my back, pain in my legs. No motivation to do anything in life. I feel like a pathetic human being most of the time. I sleep erratically, some days I can only sleep 2-4 hours other days I sleep 14-18 hours. I have spent some days sleeping for 18, being awake 3, sleeping 18 more then being awake 4, then sleeping 18 and then being awake for 40 hours. I have looked for answers everywhere, and can't seem to find any. If anyone can help at all I would appreciate it for all my life. I just want to feel normal.

I agrre with the sleep study, as I finally did and found out I had severe sleep apnea. I went on a CPAP machine and it really helped. Also, exercise and diet are a better alternative to medications. Try using supplements such as fish oil, zinc, and others that may help in your depression and anxiety problems. Good luck.

I had an overnight sleep study, but I'm unsure if the results where correct as out of the 6 hour study I only slept for 2 and a half hours. (and isn't a full sleep cycle 4 hours?) I've never had an mri of the brain, I've had a cat scan but that was for my abdomen (I had a burst cyst on my ovary last year) I might look into that, university of pa? Well my boyfriends family is up there and we visit from time to time so that might be possible.

Have you been to a neurologist and have you had a overnight sleep study done? Sounds like you might need an MRI of the brain as well as a 24 hr EEG and nerve testing. Some neurological conditions exhibit the symptoms you are experiencing. I would also recommend a University setting hospital. No one could figure out what was wrong with me until I went to the University of PA.  Depending on if you can travel there's John Hopkins in Baltimore,MD and several New York City hospitals.
Hang in there sweetie, I wish you the best.
