Maybe a food allergy????

by iluvthree_w_autism, Jul 10, 2009 06:54AM
I'm 34 and am by all medical testing am in extremely good health. Most days i'm extremely active, workout, hike, swim, until these episodes hit me. I continue to be hospitalized for symptoms that emulate heart , kidney or liver failure, at least every single time I'm rushed to the hospital after they look at my symptoms before testing, they tell me. I've even been told this last time, I'm having a stroke, yet the testing came back fine. I have had cat scans, blood work, stress testing, and have remained int he hospital for weeks at a time , because the test come back fine, but it's obviously from the looks of me I'm not .

My symptoms include:( Normally the swelling only happens on my right side, but has recently started on my left side as well.) severe swollen hands, feet, legs and thighs, extreme nausea, vomiting, severe headaches that move around and are more of a burning sensation( feels like sinus pain) dizziness with stars, blackouts, confusion, stabbing pain in my joints, stabbing and squeezing on the right side of my chest, stabbing pain in both side of my back, severe stomach cramps, clammy skin, hot flashes, unexplained fever, horrible cough, hard to swallow.

They have told me that my white cell count is up and recently, two months ago they did find Pulmonary embolism .They keep also treating me for pneumonia, with steroids, and antibiotics. No one has any answers for me and it's getting worse. I notice the swelling last for about 8-10 days and then goes away on it's own. During this time hospital visit, I COULD BE having some type of allergic reaction or possible celiac disease, so i have been keeping a food diary, and stopped eating out all together .  I have notices all of my symptoms do happen right after or immediately after eating some things.

List of foods that set all this off: grapes, chicken, oranges, tuna, pepsi
( stay so far away from this stuff, because the pain is so severe), many raw veggies, milk, onions.

Things i have no problem eating, beef, pork.

Someone please, if you are going through anything close, post, lets talk, I'm so desperate.
