Miliary TB

I am 31 yrs old male, recovering from Miliary TB. My last X ray showed no signs of TB. My question is that since Milary TB spreads haematogenously, can is spread through sex as well.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,
How are you? Miliary or disseminated tuberculosis is a form of tuberculous infection in the lung that is the result of erosion of the infection into a pulmonary vein. Once the bacteria reach the systemic circulation, the liver and spleen may be affected. Transmission can only occur from people with active TB. Direct contact with a person who has it, living in unsanitary conditions, and having an unhealthy diet may be risk factors as well. If you were able have this cured with medications, there is no problem with affecting others including sexual contact. Take care and regards.
