Numbness in toes and tounge

I have been having for the last year numbness in the tip of my toes and tongue.
Sometimes in my lips too.
I've been with CFS for 13 years and medicated once a day with one Naprux 500 mgrs (Naproxeno) Xanax 1 mgr and Foxetin 20 mgr.
Could my meds be causing this?
Thanks
Cristina

Dear Dr. Santos
Thank you so much for this information. Now that I think of it, I ran out of Xanax and was
3 days with this horrible feeling inside, very nervous and would wake up many times during
the night. I felt like a tightness all over. I even considered I may be addicted to it and these were abstinence reactions. I am a psychological counselor.
If you are interested, I will keep you posted on what my doctor says here in Argentina.
Thank you so much for everything.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi Cristina,
How are you? Are there others symptoms present? It is possible that your symptoms of numbness may be associated with your medications such as xanax. Alprazolam or Xanax can present with vasomotor disturbances, weakness, mental/mood changes, slurred speech, clumsiness, trouble walking, decreased/increased interest in sex. Inform your doctor so neurological causes may also be ruled out. Take care and do keep us posted.
