My hubby has been diagnosed with porphyria and im just wondering if any one else has it and could explain a little. As i am not a doctor so reading google feels like im reading an unknown language. I obviously know the symptoms as they are not pretty. We dont have any doctors in this city who know much about it other then to test for it even then after weeks in the hospital doctors told him it was in his head till he seen a specialist.
I guess my biggest question is what do i do when he has an attack. Because after a couple attacks er doctors just pump him full of fluid and send him home with morphine which is obviously doing nothing to help.
